ethically sourced through open-range herding and produced in Mongolia in ateliers trusted to manufacture for leading luxury fashion houses.

Mongolian cashmere, from one of the best cashmere producing regions in the world, is made from the inner hair of mountain goats that have survived the harsh winter climate. As such the cashmere has retention despite its light weight. SOETAERT uses ethical natural cashmere from farms in Mongolia with high animal welfare standards. Cashmere goat hair is not artificially shed like wool. Every year from March to May, when the mountain goats that have endured the winter shed their winter goats, nomads collect the hair that falls out naturally or gently comb it to collect the high-quality cashmere.
