In Biblical Hebrew, "Elohim" (אֱלֹהִים) is a plural subject that appears with a singular verb. This grammatical tension suggests a divine dynamism— a convergence of multiple wills into a singular, unified intention. Inspired by this linguistic structure, Hazina translates its complexity into form: through unconventional and transcendent curves, and three contrasting colors— gold, silver, and black, the brooch embodies a moment of harmonized multiplicity, focused will, and creative emergence.
The moment in which a plural subject crystallizes into a singular action is materialized through a hand-pressed texture, directly imprinted onto the metal surface. This is more than decorative patterning— it is a transference of thought into tactile expression, a sculptural response shaped by the hand.
From the center, the brooch unfolds in an organic line— capturing the instant when will condenses into form. It reinterprets the verse, "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth." (Genesis 1:1) as a visual language of rhythm, structure, and becoming.
